- Earned a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the
University of Dhaka, followed by a Master’s in Molecular Medicine from
UCL, UK (2010). Further advanced expertise with a PhD at DKFZ,
Heidelberg, Germany (2012–2016).
Professional Background
- Began career as a Scientific Officer in the Immunology Lab at icddr,b,
Dhaka (2008–2009), followed by a role as a Research Assistant at the
Proteomics Core Facility, Imperial College London. Served as a Lecturer at
the University of Dhaka (2011–2012) and later coordinated undergraduate
practical courses at Heidelberg University (2014–2016). Transitioned into
academia as an Assistant and Associate Professor (2017–2022) before
taking on the role of Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Medical
Bioinformatics and Systems Medicine, Uniklinik Freiburg (2022–present).
